[Guest Post] Freedom Fighter Interview #21 – Ground ZERO, with Zachary

Gen Y Finance Guy Freedom Fighter, Interview 3 Comments

Today we have a special post from Zachary, who is still in college, but is already planning his path to financial independence. Zac had reached out to me after reading the blog for a few days looking for advice and direction on his path to financial independence.  Not really being in the business of advice, I shared with Zac some of my favorite websites I turn to for ideas. I also outlined a very generic path to get his juices churning. After several emails we agreed that it would be cool to start a new series that would cover Zac’s plan and progress to financial independence. What is really awesome about Zac, is that he is already thinking about this …

Gen Y Finance Guy Freedom Fighter, Interview 5 Comments

Today we have our 18th Freedom Fighter interview in this series. The 2009 financial crisis motivated our guest Matt to devour blog, books, and podcasts on the topic of personal finance. He recently published a book called “Your Roaring Twenties: Avoid the Paycheck-to-Paycheck Life as a Twentysomething.” This book really came as a result of a conversation he had with some friends that had absolutely no clue about 401k’s, tax deductions, or investing. But I will let Matt tell you all about his story in his interview below… Who are you and what do you do? What is your story? How are you fighting for your Freedom? Selina calls the Pacific North West home at the moment, but plans to potentially settle down somewhere in California or Colorado in her future plans. At only 25 she is currently enjoying what Tim Ferriss calls a mini retirement in the 4 hour work week. After getting out of college, she used her 9-5 to amass a nice chunk of F-You Money. She plans to go back to work to start stashing cash away in order to hit her goal of financial independence by the time she is 30 (she is already 1/3 of the way there). But I will let Selina tell you all about it in her interview below… Who are …

So, through October, we will be publishing one interview every two weeks, and then from November on it will be one a month. All the way from the UK, today’g guest, Mr. Z, is breaking away from the Zombie Horde of what he calls the consumerism apocalypse. He is is looking to reach his definition of Financial Freedom …
