When I first started this blog last year, I knew that I wanted to provide full transparency to my readers. The best way to do this is to post my own numbers. The dedicated Financial Stats page, which can be found under the Menu at the top right of this website (click the menu icon and the pages will pop out from the right), will be updated on a monthly basis. Although this page will only contain a summary of my monthly and annual results (as pictured below), I will also be publishing a detailed monthly report that I will link to on this page in order to have all of this financial information available from one place. The first report will be published for January of 2015 sometime in the next 2 weeks or so.

Let me tell you that thinking about publishing your financial numbers and actually doing it are two different things. It is exciting and uncomfortable all at the same time. This gives you a look behind the curtain as to the progress I am making within my own journey to financial freedom. It is also going to be a huge motivator for me to stay disciplined in order to keep all of you, my readers, engaged and excited.

So without further ado, here is a snapshot of the financial stats you will find on this page:

Gen Y Finance Guy

Hey, I’m Dom - the man behind the cartoon. You’ll notice that I sign off as "Gen Y Finance Guy" on all my posts, due to the fact that I write this blog anonymously (at least for now). I like to think of myself as the Chief Freedom Officer here of my little corner of the internet. In the real world, I’m a former 30-something C-Suite executive turned entrepreneur turned capital allocator. I am trying to humanize finance by sharing my own journey to Financial Freedom. I believe in total honesty and transparency. That is why before I ever started blogging, I decided that I would share all of my own financial stats. I do this not to brag, but instead to inspire motivate, and also to hold myself accountable. My goal is to be a beacon of hope, motivation, and inspiration, for you, the reader, by living life by example and sharing it all here on the blog. My sincere hope is that you will be able to learn from me - both from my successes and my failures! Read More
